FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LUBBOCK, Texas – October 6, 2026 – Lubbock-based alternative pop-punk project The Daytime Rivalry has officially announced its partnership with Sower Project, a growing collective of independent artists dedicated to making high-quality music rooted in the Christian faith.
Sower Project aims to unify and amplify independent voices within the faith-based music scene. Eric Tuffendsam, founder of Sower Project and moonlight studios out of Cincinatti, OH, expressed his enthusiasm for the new addition, emphasizing the nostalgic yet fresh energy the project brings to the roster.
"The Daytime Rivalry has joined Sower Project, a biblical indie rock collective!" Eric shared in the announcement. "If you grew up on bands like Hawk Nelson, The Rocket Summer, and Family Force 5, you’re going to want to check these guys out. Pop punk. Alt rock. Catchy hooks. Biblical indie rock. We’re building a collective of independent artists making great music rooted in the Christian faith."
The comparison to early 2000s mainstays like Hawk Nelson is particularly fitting for The Daytime Rivalry. Fronted by lead vocalist and guitarist Tim Robinson, the project recently collaborated with former Hawk Nelson frontman Jason Dunn on the single "Smile," alongside teaming up with hip-hop veteran KJ-52 for the track "Lost Boy." By blending the heart of a worship leader with the grit of early-aughts emo and pop-punk, The Daytime Rivalry fits seamlessly into Sower Project's mission to bridge the spiritual with dynamic, energetic rock.
"We are building a collective of independent artists making great music rooted in the Christian faith," Eric added, inviting listeners to explore the expanding catalog of 15 artists.
Tim Robinson of The Daytime Rivalry recounts, “Eric met my wife at Audiofeed when we played there and immediately thought we needed to be connected. A couple of phone calls later, and boom, I've found this great community of other like-minded artists seeking to serve God in all they do.”
